The Institute of Business and Economic Research (IBER) at United International University (UIU) proudly organized the Certificate Awarding Ceremony on July 31, 2026, to celebrate the successful completion of its Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programs. The event recognized the achievements of graduates from PGD in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM), Supply Chain Management (PGDSCM), Data Science (PGDDS), Tax Management (PGDTM), and Project Management (PGDPM). More than 100 graduates participated in this memorable occasion, marking an important milestone in their academic and professional journeys.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Md. Qamruzzaman, Professor, School of Business & Economics (SoBE), and Director of IBER. In his welcome address, he highlighted the journey and achievements of IBER and emphasized the growing importance of PGD programs in developing career-ready professionals with practical knowledge and industry-relevant skills. He also announced the Best Performers from each PGD program and presented them with crests in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements.
The event was enriched by inspiring speeches from distinguished guests. Professor Mohd Hasanur Raihan Joarder, Professor, School of Business & Economics (SoBE) and Former Director of IBER, discussed how PGD programs strengthen practical skills, encourage lifelong learning, and create opportunities for professional growth. Dr. Kawsar Ahmmed, Professor, School of Business & Economics (SoBE) and Director of MBA & EMBA Programs, shared valuable insights into the evolution of professional education and highlighted the success stories of IBER graduates.
Syeda Samira Sharmin congratulated the graduates of the PGD in Supply Chain Management program and shared practical career advice to help them excel in the competitive job market. Sakif Solaiman encouraged graduates to continuously develop their professional skills, embrace lifelong learning, and prepare themselves for future career opportunities. A.B.M. Kalim Ullah congratulated the graduates of the PGD in Project Management as well as all students who successfully completed their respective PGD programs.
The ceremony also featured special sessions by industry experts. Md. Aksadur Rahman, Data Science and Machine Learning Trainer and Industry Consultant, discussed the future of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, highlighting emerging career opportunities in data-driven industries. Md. Bahauddin, Chief Financial Officer and Professional Trainer, emphasized the importance of management education and practical financial knowledge in achieving long-term career success.
Following the speeches, the faculty members formally presented certificates to all graduating students in recognition of their successful completion of the programs.
IBER also acknowledged the valuable support of its academic and industry partners, including BASIS Institute of Technology & Management (BITM) and HB Associates, for their collaboration in delivering professional training programs in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, and Practical Accounting.
